Is 12:15am the day before you head off on a year long overseas holiday really the time to be setting up and learning how to use a new blog??  Probably not!  None the less, it’s done, at least to something workable that can be tweaked when we get a bit more time.

Tomorrow is the big departure day, 12:05pm flight to Sydney then 24hrs later we jump on the plane to Argentina.  We’ve still got a few small things to sort out but at least all our packing is done, our massive One Planet Tasman hybrid packs are full to the brim with clothes.  Stuffing a PFD and other kayaking gear into a pack doesn’t give you a whole lot of room to play with for other things but hopefully the effort will be worth it and I’ll bet to run some good rivers once we get to Canada…maybe even before.
